Cat-Stretch
Inspired by my love for cats, they are both powerful (jumping 6x their height!) and insanely mobile. They can contort their bodies, often twisting and flipping in the air before landing on their feet. You too can be mobile and nimble.
What Am I Trying to Accomplish Here?
90% of our nation’s $4.5 trillion annual spend in health care is for people with chronic and mental health conditions.
Heart disease and stroke: More than 944,800 deaths, 1:3 Americans are affected by this, costing the health care system roughly $254 billion per year.
Diabetes: 38 million Americans have diabetes, and another 90 million adults in the US have prediabetes, leaving them at risk of type 2 diabetes. This costs us $413 billion (as of 2022) in medical costs and lost wages.
Obesity: Affects 20% of children, 42% of adults, leading to the aforementioned chronic diseases of heart disease and diabetes. This is estimated to cost $173 billion a year.
Arthritis: Affecting 53.2 million adults in the US, 1:5 adults. It is the leading cause of disability in the United States and the leading cause of chronic disease. We lose over $300 billion each year as of 2013.

I want to change this.
Inspired by Mark Cuban and his work with Cost Plus Drugs, I want to bring transparency to a program focused on public health over personal financial gain.
I will lower your monthly rate with more members
I want to make your monthly rate as low as $20*—just enough to cover costs, pay myself a small salary for my time, and, most importantly, help shift the narrative around American health care. Transparency is at the heart of this mission. You will know where your money goes, and in this model, it’s not piling up in my pocket—it’s being reinvested into the people.
I may not be able to single-handedly change the rates of cancer, Alzheimer’s, or tooth decay, but as this project grows, I aim to bring on other health care providers who prioritize public health over profit. Together, we can redefine what preventative health care looks like in America. For far too long, we’ve lived our lives with the question, “Do I really need to go see someone, what will my co-pay be?”. I am sick of being sick and tired of a system that doesn’t care for it’s own people.
I hope you’ll join me in making that vision a reality.

No equipment is necessary. Most of what you need can be found around the house so you don’t need to buy any equipment at all!
While there are loads of classes, videos, and programs you can follow from home without equipment; as you progress there can be situations where loading may best be facilitated by use of bands and weights. -
If you have an injury or are currently in pain, this is not the solution for you.
Understanding if something is really wrong or just uncomfortable. Within the community, I have assessments built in that help you understand the differences.
If you have limitations due to mobility, then as long as it’s not painful joints, then it will help.
If you know you are coming off an injury (eg: labrum tear, acl) then you may want to see a provider in person before joining us further down the line.

There’s no one answer that fits every single person. I would ask you what your other training demands are at the moment.
This is another high-threshold training strategy, so simply getting a blanket statement doesn’t necessarily help.
1-4x/week is ideal, it will take some time to see how your body responds to this kind of training before we know how it will fit into your programming.
