I have an intense or passionate dislike for laziness, and in turn lazy people.
I want to start going to the gym, but
I want to save money, but
I want to be a millionaire, but
That word, but, it's an excuse. It's a self limiting ceiling you're setting. You need to eliminate BUT from your vocabulary when discussing any dreams or aspirations.
You and You alone are responsible for your future. Do not let anyone or anything tell you otherwise. People may disagree with you, you don't need these people in your life. People may poke holes in your dreams, you don't need these people in your life (they probably have long given up on their dreams so as a defense mechanism they'll try to bring you down). People are going to tell you why you can't do something without any constructive direction, get rid of these people now.
This whole post illustrates the insidious bad habit of being lazy. Now people are lazy for a variety of reasons like not being passionate about what they're doing or being scared of failure. Whatever the reason, you need to audit yourself and figure out what it is you're most excited about doing. What can you do for hours and get so wrapped up in it that you forget to eat!
At the end of the day it boils down to your own core beliefs. If you're like me and walk around with the world's biggest chip on their shoulder, eradicating "BUT" and "CAN'T" is easy. However if you are having trouble with it, you need to work on building this part of yourself up. Take full responsibility and accountability for your actions, and you will be on the path to overcoming your inner lazy.
